- AGROCHEMISTRY BRIDO -
Late 1930s
In the late 1930s, the family (brothers João Nicolau and Andrea) started a small business in Vila Alpina selling and processing bone and meat tallow
1951
Headquartered in the municipality of São Caetano, it is renamed Agroquímica Braido and produces industrial tallow (soap and soap) and transforms bone meal into organic fertilizer. Control of the company passes to the sons of Mr. João Nicolau, with Nelson Braido in charge of the business.
60's
Extraction of important substances from the meat by-product begins. The first one was animal glue, which is highly valued in the manufacture of furniture. During this period, it also sought expertise abroad and started to produce fatty, oleic, stearic acids, glycerin and meat and bone meal.
80's
The pace of business growth encouraged the acquisition of a unit in São José dos Campos as a source of raw material capture in the Vale do Paraíba region. And more: although the concept of sustainability did not exist, Agroquímica Braido in São Caetano do Sul was already inaugurating an energy substation to feed the electric boiler.
The 90's
Implementation of the granulation and distillery sectors - in practice, this meant gains in the production of stearic acid and glycerin. In 1996, Agroquímica Braido joined Resitol and strengthened the production of plant-based fatty acids and pitch.
1998
Mr. Nelson Braido's family assumes 100% of the shareholding control of Agroquímica Braido.
2000
It obtains ISO 9002/94 standard certification (focusing on fatty acids) and expands to Leme, aiming to increase the capture of raw material and the volumes of meat and bone meal.
2001
Implantation of a biological filter at the Leme unit as an alternative to minimize odors from cooking tallow and bovine bones.
2003
Achievement of ISO 9001:2000 recertification in the manufacture of fatty acids and glycerin.
2005
Expansion of the distillery and installation of the hydrogenation plant in São Caetano do Sul. And more: beginning of the sterilization of meat and bone meal, which raised the quality of the product and eliminated threats of bacteriological contamination, reaching the mark of 4,000 points of bovine bones and tallow collection.
2007
IImplementation of a biological filter in São Caetano do Sul to minimize odors from cooking tallow and bovine bones.
